These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you," "merchant," "operator") and BossAi ("we," "our," "us"), concerning your access to and use of the bossaiapp.com website, Next.js API endpoints, storefront modules, local Electron print servers, and the tablet/mobile point-of-sale systems (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, onboarding a business branch, or purchasing monthly service tiers, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Service and must discontinue use immediately.
2. Account Onboarding & Role Registry
To operate the Service, you must register a business profile. The system automatically assigns a unique sequential identity (e.g. B-XXXXX) and initiates permissions scoping:
- Owner Profiles: Carry unrestricted authority over pricing structures, outlet registrations, and staff onboarding requests.
- Staff Registry: Employees seeking POS terminal access are registered via join requests. Access is held in a "pending approval" state until explicitly activated by the respective business owner.
- Credentials: You are responsible for protecting auth cookies and session JWTs. If you detect unauthorized entry, you must alert us immediately.
3. Fees, Subscriptions, & Billing
Access to POS terminal sync, cloud synchronization, and automated storefront checkouts is billed on a recurring subscription tier basis:
- Billing Tiers: Fees are structured based on active outlets, registered terminal counts, or feature flag bundles.
- Non-Refundable: All charges are final and non-refundable, unless determined otherwise by our operations team.
- Taxes: Fees are exclusive of national or regional sales taxes (such as GST or VAT). Tax configurations inside your custom billing modules are the sole responsibility of the merchant.
4. Local Device & Printing Bridge Limits
BossAi coordinates with network devices and local print utilities:
The Electron-based Desktop Print Bridge operates as local client-side software. While we construct and format ESC/POS receipt commands via the database print queue, you are solely responsible for ensuring printer hardware compatibility, IP port configurations, and local network connection stability.
Hardware Disclaimer: BossAi is not liable for transaction processing delays, missing kitchen tickets, or printing backlogs resulting from local router crashes, network IP resets, or incompatible hardware.
5. Tenant Isolation & Acceptable Use
We enforce strict multi-tenant boundaries using Postgres Row-Level Security:
- You agree not to bypass, manipulate, or test RLS scoping criteria or intercept data streams belonging to other merchants.
- You may not use the Service to run fraudulent storefronts, process unauthorized digital charges, or execute high-frequency scraping of competitor menus.
- Violation of multi-tenant security boundaries results in immediate termination of the business account.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
The Service (including source code, UI elements, database schema configurations, custom cursors, graphics, and trademarks) is owned by or licensed to BossAi.
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access our platform solely for your internal business operations during active subscription periods.
